Types of site explained
- Club sites (Caravan and Motorhome Club, Camping and Caravanning Club) — reliable facilities, hook-up, well-run. Great for beginners.
- Independent & farm sites — often more characterful and rural; quality varies, so check reviews.
- CLs / CSs — small, peaceful 'certificated' sites (usually 5 pitches) on farms and in gardens. Lovely for getting away from it all.
- Aires & stopovers — simple overnight halts, handy for touring.
What to look for when booking
- Pitch size & access — confirm it takes a 7.4m motorhome.
- Electric hook-up (EHU) — for power, heating and hot water.
- Facilities — fresh water, chemical disposal point (CDP), showers and waste.
- Dog policy if you're bringing a four-legged friend (ask us about our dog-friendly pack).
